                                          Good Morning!!!!!

                             Today is Thursday, June 4, 2020.

                               Today is partly cloudy.





Today there are 2 activities. Making a shape book and you can create a rocket or popsicle. Lastly, create anything you want using shapes.

                              Shape Book

Materials

Magazine, Scissors, Tape or glue, Colored pencils or crayons, 6 sheets of paper and a stapler

Instructions

1. On one sheet of paper write circles. On the second sheet of paper write squares. On the third sheet of paper write rectangles. On the fourth sheet of paper write triangles. On the fifth sheet of paper write diamonds. On the sixth and final sheet of paper write stars.

2. Cut out 8-10 circles, squares, rectangles, triangles, diamonds and stars you can find in the magazine. 

3. Tape or glue the shapes to the sheet of paper that has the shape’s name.

4. Staple the sheets together and done!

                                  Rocket

Materials:

a variety of colorful paper cut into rectangles, squares, triangles and circlesa black piece of paper, a glue stick, a circle moon, and orange & red crepe paper streamer pieces.

Instructions:
Step 1 (main cabin): In the center of your black paper, glue the main cabin.

Step 2 (roof): Glue the roof on top of the cabin.
 Pick a window to put at the top of the cabin beneath the roof. What shape is it? (circle) What color did everyone pick?
Step 3 (window): Glue window on spaceship so astronauts can look out the window!


Next,  put a door under the window so that the astronauts can enter the spaceship! What shape is the door? What color did everyone choose?
Step 4 (door): Glue square door beneath circle window.

Now we need to create fire coming out of the engine at the bottom of our spaceship. Choose some small pieces of orange and red crepe paper.
Step 5 (fire): Wrinkle the pieces of crepe paper for texture then glue at bottom of spaceship.

Next, pick two triangles to create the wings for the ship!
Step 6 (wings): Glue wings to the bottom on each side of the ship. Cover a bit of the fire with the wings!

Our space ship is heading to the moon! Pick one moon each. What shape, color? (circle, gray)
Step 7 (moon): Glue moon on top of the black paper.

                              Popsicles 

Materials:

Colored construction paper, glue or tape, scissors, popsicle sticks and string

Step 1: Cut out 10-12 popsicle shapes (choose the colors you like)



Step 2: Create different designs using shapes like circle, rectangles and triangles. Also use shapes to create melons such as semi circles.





Step 3: Now glue or tape the popsicles to the back of your beautifully designed popsicles.




Step  4: Connect your popsicles with a string or more paper. Then hang somewhere in your house.
