Cuarto: Matter- Mass and Volume

                        What is matter?


Matter is any substance that has mass and takes up space by having volume. For example, 

 An ant is made of matter.


 The island and water are made of matter.


 A phone is made of matter too. 


          In all of the pictures there is air. Air is matter too!


What is mass and volume? Take a look at the video to understand more about mass and volume.



  1. We measure Mass with scales in grams or kilograms.

          2. What is the mass of the bag of flour?


3. What is the mass of the carrots, flour and fish in grams?




4. We measure volume with a graduated cylinder, beaker or flask in milliliters or liters.




5. What is the volume for all of the graduated cylinders and flasks. Please start from left to right.
