Comparatives- are used to compare differences between two nouns. Above, only look at the boy in blue shorts and the boy in yellow pants. Who is stronger?
The boy in yellow pants is stronger than the boy in blue shorts.
Superlatives - are used to express the extreme or highest quality between three or more nouns. Above, look at all of the boys. Who is the strongest?
The boy in the black pants is the strongest.
